Charming 2-bedroom-plus-study house 2 blocks from Netarts Bay, 1/2 mile from ocean beach. Within a few blocks of 4 restaurants and a general store, and a nice 2 mile walk on the beach to Oceanside. (Or 2 mile drive.)

The house has a bedroom and study upstairs, a bedroom downstairs, an eat-in-kitchen, and a wood stove. Most of the windows face south but are also shaded, so it's sunny and bright without being too hot. The house has beautiful hardwood floors, new cedar siding, and new insulated windows. The yard is fenced, and well-behaved dogs are welcome (with an additional deposit). The house sleeps up to 5 (one bedroom has a queen bed, the other has a full, and there's a couch in the living room and also an air mattress).

Netarts is charming, quiet, and not over-built. It's on the 3 Capes Scenic Route, so the biking (and driving) is spectacular. The bay (protected from the ocean by Cape Lookout) is beautiful and tranquil--great for children and dogs. Summer rates (beginning on Memorial Day and ending on Labor Day) are $700/week, $300/weekend (usually there is a one-week minimum in July & August). September/October rates are $625week, $280/weekend. Winter rates are $575/$250. Holidays are slightly higher in all seasons.
